UHPC possesses ultra-high strength and density, with its mix design typically containing a high proportion offine powders (e.g.,cement, silica fume) and fibers (e.g.,steel fibers, carbon fibers). Consequently, UHPC mixers require powerful mixing capabilities and specialized mixing mechanisms to ensure homogeneous dispersion of these components. For instance, some advanced UHPC mixers employ a planetary mixing principle, where multiple mixing arms move simultaneously in different trajectories, effectively breaking up powder agglomerates and uniformly distributing fibers within the matrix.
