Binder is a "necessary evil" in granulation – too little, and granules won't form; too much, and costs rise, drying time extends, and residue risks increase.
The Kontex KH series mixer-granulator delivers a compelling answer: 25% less binder, with granule quality unchanged or even improved.
The secret lies in the extreme uniformity achieved by 3D counter-current mixing. After materials are fully dispersed and evenly distributed in the closed chamber, a smart spraying system injects binder in atomized form with precision. Under high-intensity mixing, every drop of binder is efficiently utilized – liquid bridges bind fine powders into tiny "nuclei," which then collide, compress, and coalesce to grow into granules.
Because mixing is uniform enough, there is no need for excess binder to "compensate" for poor dispersion.
The result: same quality granules with 25% less binder, and productivity increased by 4–5 times. Less binder means shorter drying time, lower energy consumption, and purer end products.
Less is more.
