In 2006, when Kontex was founded, we set a simple yet determined goal: to build the best intensive mixers in China.

At that time, the domestic market for high-end mixing equipment was almost entirely dominated by European and American brands. From fine chemicals to refractory materials, from new energy batteries to environmental protection and solid waste treatment, the mixing equipment for many critical processes had to be imported.

Kontex chose a different path: we decided to go deep, to stay focused.

Over the past twenty years, we have never chased fleeting trends or expanded recklessly. From a single prototype to a full product line covering 5 liters to 15 tons per batch; from simple powder mixing to overcoming challenges with high-viscosity slurries, ultra-hard particles, and materials with vastly different properties—Kontex has spent two decades doing just one thing: taking mixing to its highest level.

II. Understanding Every Material Property

An intensive mixer may seem simple in principle—combining the rotation of the mixing pan with a high-speed rotor to generate three types of motion: convection, shear, and diffusion. But what transforms a machine into a masterpiece is a deep understanding of material properties.

Some materials are sensitive to heat; friction must be controlled.
Some materials tend to agglomerate; precise shear forces are required.
Some materials have vastly different densities; forced convection must be created within the gravitational field.
Some materials are sensitive to metal ions; specialized materials must be used in construction.

Kontex’s engineers have spent twenty years learning to “read” these materials. We have built an extensive material database, documenting the mixing characteristics of hundreds of substances. Every new project is not a step into the unknown, but a precise match built on deep accumulated knowledge.
